* The soccer players are practicing on the beautiful turf of Ingalls Field (it does look nice with the two shades of green, especially late in the day), and the football players will be joining them this week.
* Pre-season NFL football is on the TV, with players that will never make the NFL come September.
* The leaves on the tree across the street from me are beginning to turn red and orange.
* The days are getting shorter, which I always hate
* The words "magic number" and "playing for next year" are entering the baseball vocabulary
